Abstract Bassia All. is a genus from the Amaranthaceae family, which was created by merging selected species belonging to former and Kochia genera with those classified Chenolea , Londesia Kirilowia Panderia. The reorganised currently comprises around 20 species, are annual herbs or perennial subshrubs native Eurasia Africa. plants well known for their therapeutic applications in folk medicine traditional medical systems, they also used nonmedical purposes. Biological activity revealed various effects exerted extracts isolated compounds, including anti-inflammatory, cytotoxic, antioxidant, antimicrobial, hypoglycemic, anti-obesity, etc. Modern research explained mechanisms action. This review covers literature 1935 2022, assembles discusses data phytochemistry, biological activity, use representatives . In we present current state knowledge about genus.
